This photograph was taken in 2006. It is still one of my favourites taken with the Canon Powershot A610. The tale of how the two frogs ended up in the pond outside my garden is recounted in Freedom Frogs at The Digital Awakening. A cut out of this image is used for the cover page of the same website. We left the duo there at the pond after the shooting session. I wonder if they are still around.
No matter how many times I have looked out from an aircraft window, the view of the terra firma below never ceases to amaze me. That is the reason why I like window seats. The unfolding landscape provides a sense of detachment. The moment the plane takes off, no matter where the destination, no matter what I have left behind, serenity envelopes me. For the duration of the flight, I neither worry nor fret. It is amidst the continuous humming of the jet engines and the unusual perspective up there that I usually find peace.
